Why Use Liquid Sodium Metaaluminate in Water Treatment
May 08, 2023
Several large domestic water treatment listed companies have started to use sodium aluminate as a sewage treatment agent in 2015, but in the initial use process, it was not smooth, the reason is the use of solid sodium aluminate. The transportation cost of solid sodium aluminate is low. It was originally thought that stirring and dissolving during use is enough, but the dissolution requirements of solid sodium aluminate are relatively high. Generally speaking, three hard conditions are required:
1. Use pure water to dissolve, the purpose is to prevent sodium aluminate from combining with calcium and magnesium ions in groundwater or tap water to form a solid similar to calcium carbonate.
2. Heating to dissolve. The reason for heating is that it can dissolve solid sodium aluminate faster and better. If it is not heated, it will take a long time to stir, and there will be about 1-3% of sodium aluminate that cannot be completely dissolved. dissolve.
3. Add sodium hydroxide. If sodium hydroxide can be added, it can better help the dissolution, and adjust the molar ratio to prevent the dissolved liquid from quickly separating out and precipitating.
If the above three conditions are not met, it is very easy to block the pump and pipeline.
In the process of using solid sodium aluminate, it is necessary to stop production for maintenance in about ten days, and clean the pump and pipeline. This situation is not allowed in normal production, so we recommend customers to use liquid sodium aluminate, which completely solves the clogged pump. Problems with plumbing. At the same time, it also greatly reduces the on-site use cost of sodium aluminate.
